The Adept approach

Small scope.
Written list.
Same finish standards.

Minor repairs fail when they are treated as drive-by patch jobs. We scope each item, match materials where we can, and send the same accountable crew culture you see on full renovations — just on a shorter clock.

  • Photos + list reviewed before we quote — no mystery scope
  • Minimum visit and bundle options explained up front
  • Clean, quiet habits for occupied homes and condos

What's included

Typical minor repair scope — priced before we visit

If it is not on the list, it is not in the visit — we add items only when you approve a revised quote. That keeps minor repairs predictable for both sides.

Drywall and plaster patches after hardware moves, dings, or trade damage — taped, mudded, and sanded flush
Spot priming and paint touch-ups to blend repairs into existing sheen where feasible
Silicone and caulking refresh at tubs, sinks, backsplashes, and trim joints that have cracked or yellowed
Baseboard, casing, and door adjustments — re-nail, fill, and touch paint on minor movement or scuffs
Cabinet hardware, hinge, and drawer glide tweaks following cabinet installs or seasonal swelling
Small carpentry fixes tied to prior renovation scope — shoe mould, transitions, and filler strips
Post-renovation punch items we scoped together — not open-ended handyman lists without a written scope
Protection of floors and furniture, short visit windows, and clean handoff when the list is done

How it works

Minor repairs, step by step

Short visits still get the same communication habits — list, quote, schedule, execute, sign-off.

01

Send the list

Photos and a short written list help us triage what is in scope for minor repairs — drywall, paint, caulking, trim — and what needs a larger trade or permit path.

02

Written quote

You receive a fixed price or a clear minimum visit plus time-and-materials cap for small repair bundles — before we book the visit.

03

Schedule

We slot short repair visits around active projects where possible, confirm access, and flag any product match limits (sheen, discontinued colour).

04

Execute & protect

Same tidy habits as our full renovations — dust control, floor protection, and tools suited to occupied homes.

05

Walkthrough

We review each line item with you, close the punch list, and leave touch-up paint labelled where it helps.

“Adept was brought in to do some water damage repairs. We liked their work so much we brought them back to do some more work around our house. (...) Very reasonable rates. We have already recommended them to a friend.”

Why Adept

Why homeowners use us for minor repairs

Same crew, same standards

Minor repairs are performed with the same finish expectations as our full renovations — not a rushed add-on.

Written scope before we start

Small jobs still get a clear list and price so you are not surprised when the visit ends.

Renovation-smart sequencing

We know how Adept-built assemblies were detailed, which speeds diagnosis and keeps callbacks rare.

Across the GTA

Toronto and GTA homeowners use us for minor repairs because we show up on the day we book.

Common questions

Minor repair FAQs

Do you only do minor repairs for past Adept clients?
We prioritize renovation-related punch lists and follow-ups tied to work we performed or closely coordinated. For new homeowners with small scopes, we may still quote a minimum visit if the list fits our trades — send photos and we will be direct about fit.
Is there a minimum charge for minor repairs?
Yes — short visits have a minimum that covers mobilization, setup, and cleanup. Bundling several small items in one visit usually gets better value than multiple separate calls.
How quickly can you schedule minor repairs?
Timing depends on crew availability and scope. Straightforward punch lists after a recent Adept project are often scheduled within one to three weeks. You receive a confirmed date after you approve the quote.
Can you match my existing paint colour?
Often yes — we sample or use retained formulas when we painted the original scope. Older or unknown products may be a close blend; we flag limits before we quote.
Do you offer minor repairs in Mississauga, Vaughan, and North York?
Yes. We work across Toronto and the GTA including Mississauga, Vaughan, North York, Etobicoke, Richmond Hill, and Markham. Travel is included in our quotes where the scope warrants a visit.
